Sarah Paulson Biography, facts, and Life Story

Sarah Catherine Paulson is an American actress, well-known for her work in several TV shows, including 'American Gothic' and 'Jack and Jill'. Her stunning performance in 'The People V. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story in which she played a public prosecutor was recognized with numerous awards including an Emmy. Sarah Catharine Paulson was conceived in Florida on December 17, 1975. She spent her early childhood in Tampa the largest city, located near the Gulf of Mexico. Her parents, Catharine Gordon and Douglas Paulson divorced in the year Sarah was only five and agreed on shared custody so Sarah together with her mother and younger sister left to New York, while her father and older sister remained in Tampa. In the meantime, she continued to work in films in which she appeared as a supporting character in films like "The Time Being" (2012) and '12 years a Slave' (2013), 'Carol' (2015), and "Rebel in the Rye" (2017). Paulson appeared on the debut season of the anthology series "American Crime Story" in the year 2016. The show was a huge hit and Paulson's performance was extraordinary, which is why she won an Emmy Award. Sarah Paulson has won numerous prizes for her TV and film work. For her role on "The People V. O. J. Simpson : American Crime Story" she was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award in 2016 for Outstanding Lead Actress in the form of a Miniseries or Movie. In the same role, she won the Critics Choice Television Award for Best Actress In a Movie or Miniseries.
