Kari Matchett Biography

Kari Matchett (Canadian actress) is famous for her role in films like Apartment Hunting' and Men with Brooms'. Born in Spalding, Saskatchewan and raised in the area, she later relocated to Alberta where she completed high school. In her teens she began to develop an interest in acting. To further train in acting, she enrolled at the 'National Theatre School, located in Montreal and later attended the  Moscow Theatre School.' In 1996, she was in an supporting role in the Canadian show 'The Rez. She also appeared in series like Ready or Not' and Forever Knight' that year. Her film debut came in the late 1990s, with the film titled Papertrail. Then, she appeared in films like "Men with Brooms, 'Cypher', and others. She also appeared in supporting roles on series' such as 'A Nero Wolfe Mystery,' and Blue Murder. The actress continued to appear in films through the 2000s, but her film appearances were much less than the TV roles she played. She also played the character of Colleen Blessed in the 1998 Canadian drama series "Power Play. The show received both critical and commercial acclaim and ran for 2 seasons and 26 episodes. She was nominated for a  Gemini Award' for her performance in the series. Jude Lyon Matchett was her first child. But she was hesitant to disclose the father of her child. According to some reports,, the father of her son is her former boyfriend. Kari Matchett met T.W. Peacocke was in his mid-1990s, and they began dating. They got married in 1998. The marriage ended in discord and the couple split up in 2006.
