Jillian Noel Hennessy

Jillian Noel Hennessy (19 November 1975) is a Canadian actor and singer. She is most famous for her role as Claire Kincaid, a US prosecutor in the television show Law & Order for three seasons. Crossing Jordan was six seasons. Jordan Cavanaugh, the main character in Crossing Jordan, lasted six seasons. She also appeared in movies like RoboCop 3 & Most Wanted and independent film Chutney Popcorn & The Acting Class. The movie was written and directed by her. Hennessy was born in Edmonton, Alberta. John Hennessy, her father, was a meat-salesman and an executive in sales and marketing. His job required extensive travel, which resulted in several moves for the entire family. Maxine Her mother, also known as Maxine passed away in 1982. She left her daughter under the care of Eleanor, her paternal grandmother. Her younger brother, John Paul "J.P." Hennessy, Jr., and an identical twin sister, Jacqueline, who is a journalist for magazines and a television show host in Canada. Hennessy has Irish as well as French, Swedish, Italian, and Swedish heritage from her father, and mostly Ukrainian Roma and Austrian heritage from her mother. She was a student at Stanley Park Senior Public School. Grand River Collegiate Institute was her graduation. She was a busker in the subway system of Toronto. She and her sister made their acting debut as twin callgirls in 1988’s Dead Ringers. Gillian Anderson, who was the actress chosen to play the part, claimed she was a finalist to be the character Dana Scully in The X-Files. The role was played by her for three seasons, and left the show in 1996.
