Rashida Jones
Rashida Jones was born in Los Angeles,
California, the youngest daughter of producer, media mogul, and musician Quincy
Jones and actress Peggy Lipton. Kidada Jones is her elder sister. She is also
the half-sibling of five from the other relationships her father had with his
family. Her father is African American and her mother is Ashkenazi Jewish (a
descendant of refugees from Russia and Latvia). Rashida was raised in Reform
Judaism. She was born in Bel Air, Los Angeles, California. Jones has stated of
her multi-racial parentage, "It was the 1970s and it's not even that
acceptable for them to be together." Jones made her acting debut
professionally with The Last Don in 1997 A mini-series that was inspired by
Mario Puzo. Rashida was also a Harvard University graduate in 1997. She was a
student at the Buckley School in Sherman Oaks (California). The most likely
candidate to suffer. The name she uses is Arabic (O+-O'UO-O(c)) to mean
"Major adult, grown-up, elder or wise". The People magazine's "50

previously married to Mark Ronson (music producer), 25 February 2003. Niece of
Robert Lipton. Her romantic relationships include Josh Hartnett and Charlie
Hunnam. She sang in the Tupac Shakur tribute track, that was written by Kidada
Jones who is her sister. Kidada and Rashida were produced by Quincy Jones III,
the brother of Quincy Jones III. Quincy Jones III was present at the beginning
of the song and recited the lines from Shakur's poem "Starry Night."
Shakur's poem is the source for the song's name. Rashida is an
African-American, and has little English, Scottish, or Welsh ancestry than his
mother (some of his African family members are of the Tikar tribe from
Cameroon). Rashida's mom, Ashkenazi Jewish (of Russian Jewish heritage and
Latvian Jewish heritage), is Rashida. Her paternal grandparents came from South
Carolina and Mississippi, respectively. Her maternal grandfather was born to
New Yorkers while her maternal grandmother was from Eastern European Jewish
heritage. At the time of writing, 2009, she has appeared in three different
characters with the title "Karen" on cult classic TV comedies (Freaks
and Geeks (1999), Stella (2005) and The Office (2005)).
