Renee Kathleen Zellweger
Renee Kathleen Zellweger is a daughter
of Kjellfrid Andreassen and was a former midwife and nurse from Norway. Her
birth date was April 25 of 1969 in Katy. Emil Erich Zellweger, her father, is a
Swiss-born engineer. The two are married in 1963. Drew Zellweger is Renee's
brother and was born on the 15th of February 1967. Renee was part of the drama
club in high school when she began to become interested in acting. She enrolled
in an acting class at University of Texas (Austin) and began to consider acting
as a career. She had a strong desire to become an actor after she graduated,
but Hollywood is not easy to enter. Renee decided not to leave Texas and
auditioned at Houston for roles. Matthew McConaughey (another Hollywood rising
star) was her friend while she was on the set of Texas Chainsaw Massacre II:
The Next Generation (1994). McConaughey was working on an idea at the time that
Renee was intrigued by, auditioned for, and won the role in the movie Love and
a .45 (1994) and was a huge success and earned her the praise of critics that
she decided to move to Los Angeles. Another role in The Whole Wide World (1996)
was the next one, which eventually led to her first big break. Cameron Crowe
was busy casting his next film which was Jerry Maguire (1996),starring Tom
Cruise. Crowe was looking into the actresses Bridget Fonda (Camden Diaz),
Winona Ryder (Winona Ryder) and Marisa Tomei, when he discovered Zellweger's
performance on The Whole Wide World (1996). He auditioned Zellweger to ensure
that she was indeed his Dorothy Boyd. After her success in a few independent
films, Renee felt confident enough to make a return to the huge-budget
Hollywood film industry. She was in the film alongside Meryl Streep in the
tearjerker One True Thing (1998). She also played in Me, Myself & Irene
(2000) alongside Jim Carrey and shortly after she started dating Jim Carrey.
Bridget Jones's Diary (2001).
