Paula Faris
Paula Faris is an American journalist
from America. She was previously the TV reporter for ABC News. She is
well-known for her time as cohost of Good Morning America Weekend, from 2014 to
2018, and host of The View, 2015-2018. Before this, she co-anchored World News
Now as well as America This Morning. After graduating, she worked in several
communications-related jobs including an operations position at Mills/James
Productions in Columbus, Ohio. The position she held was in sales of radio
stations due to the lack of television opportunities. After a year of working
as a production assistant with WKEF/WRGT. She was then capable of reporting and
anchoring at times. She was the weekend and weekday sports anchors for WCPO TV,
Cincinnati, between 2002 and 2005. The contract was canceled and she was hired
as a reporter and anchor for NBC affiliate WMAQ-TV, Chicago, from November 2005
until December 2011. She was employed by ABC News the news division in December
2011. The 2nd of January, 2012, she made her debut on the network's World News
Now and America This Morning. She was a correspondent as well as fill-in for
Good Morning America during this period. She was then appointed a New
York-based reporter for all ABC News programs. She was not able to make it to the
final episode of World News Now or America This Morning. The show aired on
January 22nd in 2013. She made her debut on Good Morning America Weekend as
co-anchor, September 9, 2014. This was after Bianna Golodryga moved to Yahoo!
News. News. Her contract was renewed by ABC for its 20th season on August 3.
Season 21 also got renewed with her hosting duties as co-hosts. During the
series' 21st and 22nd seasons she mostly appeared during the show's Friday
shows.
