Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell (born on 25th August 1949) is an American TV chef who is a popular personality. She also was an instructor for the Institute of Culinary Education. Anne W. Burrell hosts on Secrets of a Restaurant Chef for the Food Network, as well as co-hosting Worst Cooks in America. Ann Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef is a hit with her signature spikey blonde locks and pump up appearance, offers simple techniques that anyone can master. Chef Burrell is also a part of some of the top eateries within New York, studied the cuisine and culture of Italy, and battled on the Food Network's Iron Chef America. As a child in Upstate New York Chef Burrell was infatuated by food. The Culinary Institute of America is where she went after earning an English diploma and Communications certificate from Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America is where I spent my most memorable time in my life. It was difficult to master how to do, or even work hard enough. After graduating at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners chef Burrell took a full year in Italy learning and working in La Taverna del Lupo restaurant located in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 one Michelin star in Tuscany. She gained a deeper knowledge of Italian culture and cuisine while in Italy, which has influenced her style of cooking. Burrell has been a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board to improve the lives of children who face challenges. She is also an Juvenile Research Foundation Celebrity Ambassador where she advocates for awareness of children with diabetes. Burrell is often a guest to speak at conferences and tours the country in her mentorship role. Anne says she was incredibly fortunate to be able to communicate her love of cooking to others.
